ECO Park South
EcoPark South is the first phase in North London Waste Authority's plan to build a £1.2bn sustainable waste management hub at Edmonton EcoPark. Loclon were contracted by Taylor Woodrow to be part of their team to construct this Resource Recovery Facility with the capacity to manage 135,000 tonnes of recyclable material every year, as well the first ever public Reuse and Recycling Centre at the site.
EcoPark House will provide a new visitor and education centre with space for the community to learn more about waste management and recycling and the importance of the circular economy in reducing the carbon footprint of waste. The project involved the pouring of over 7000m3 of Reinforced concrete in the construction of several large water retaining underground tanks, steel cladded retaining walls and concrete slab and beams.
