Victoria Dock Portal
Victoria Dock Portal was constructed to allow Trains to go from the existing surface rail track from the east to move underground into the Tunnelled section.
Lorclon’s Works included the construction of the following:
- 375m of RC Capping beam.
- Excavation of over 30,000m³ of material to form the portal including high and mid level walers and propping.
- 800mm RC Base slabs, 14m High by 19m wide Tunnel Eye Headwall, Single& Double sided RC walls, 800mm-450mm thick RC Roof slabs.
